Tina is hand-sculpted clay.
During her carving stage, her 'energy' showed up as tattoo-like shapes embellishing the curves of her body. They allow for her 'energy' to make a statement of independence.
Her 'birthing stage' began from a 1200° kiln as she was laid on a bed of sawdust. Slowly fire ignited beneath her and peaked through the holes. Smoked danced upon her body, and we embellished her with horsehair.
She carries the presence of someone who has walked through fire and come out shaped but not diminished, her history woven into her being with quiet authority. She feels like a woman whose natural wisdom rises from everything she’s endured, steady and unapologetically herself.
